/ /__/ /jork cardset for Klondike deluxe AGA 3
/______/
To install this cardset simply move the file bjork.reko into your cards drawer
and then alter your prefs file (reko.prefs)
This is a 256 greyscale cardset, created on an A1200/30/50Mhz 6Mb 200Mb HD.
I created these cards using Imagestudio V2.3.0 and Dpaint AGA V4.6
If you like Bjork then you will like these cards, and if not why did you download
this in the first place. Well I will assume you like Bjork and therefore if you
would like any originals of these pictures, please let me know and I will send
them to you UUEncoded.(Or however you want)
Please feel free to mail me if you use these cards as I would be very grateful
for any mails.
I have also used cards 59 - 67 But this should not be a problem as the cardset
is only in 256 colours.
Here is how i created the cards using the above mentioned programs:
I used a 256 palette because it is a lot easier to work with than HAM8, if you
don't have imageFX or other similar progs!
1. I placed my original 53 pictures in a seperate drawer of my HD. (52 cards + 1
back)
2. In DPaint I created a palette using the first 4 colours from the examples in the
make cards drawer supplied with the KlondikeIII (Blue ,White ,Red and Black) and
then set colour no. 5 to white and colour no. 256 to black, and used the spread
function in Dpaint. I saved this palette as 'reko.pal'. I then made the first 4
colours Black and saved this palette as 'grey.pal'
(reko.pal and grey.pal are included in this archive, make sure they are in your
palettes drawer within the imagestudio drawer)
3. Whithin Imagestudio I wrote a small batch script to scale to entire directory
to 86x128 and then load the palette 'grey.pal'. (To convert the pic to greyscale
without using the Red or Blue needed in the final game) Then load the palette
'reko.pal' to add the Red and Blue. (the arexx script is supplied- you may wish to
turn off the preview redraw, as this takes the most time!)
(If you don't have the registered version of Imagestudio you can first scale
the pictures using another image program, or atleast only the one larger than 512x512)
4. Then in Dpaint I loaded each picture seperatly, outlined then and added the
card number + symbol. Then save each picture with the correct number.
(I have included ad file cardcutter.iff to help)
(You can then draw new prefs cards if you want)
5 Use the command 'reko ????00 68' <--- or whatever?
Thats it really but set 4 does take a long time. Well if you would like copies
of my prefs cards, or original pics let me know. Hope you enjoy using them!
